One of my memories of Stefan has always made me chuckle. On a visit to see the Seifert family, I gladly accepted the delightful bedtime task of reading a story to Thomas and Peter. The small boys were snuggled up in their cots watching closely as Stefan handed me their bedtime reading and guidance on which page to read to. With Stefan now downstairs I nervously suggested to the boys that they might perhaps on this occasion, lower their expectations on this evening’s reading performance. There was no need for me to be nervous because Stefan had chosen Spike Milligan’s brilliantly, funny book, ‘A Children’s Treasury of Milligan’ for me to read. Thank goodness for Stefan’s great sense of humour and his excellent choice of bedtime reading. Still chuckling. Viv
