As I quickly came to recognise, the word 'big' had several meanings when applied to Stefan. He was understandably proud of his achievements, undaunted by the challenges most recently thrown at him and a rock to his family. It was a particular joy to converse with him on matters of politics and current affairs - his knowledge, interest and lively intellect were invigorating
